Soccer tipsters Alpha Tauri to use fewer Red Bull parts in new car

Alpha Tauri will buy fewer parts from Red Bull to better prepare for the 2023 season.


Jonathan Eddols, head of engineering for the Italian team`s racing department, said this decision will help to better design a new car.


Despite the fact that in Formula 1 teams must create their own racing chassis, they are not prohibited from buying some car parts (the list of which is agreed in advance and verified by the International Automobile Federation) from other manufacturers. Some smaller teams work with top teams (for example, Haas buys some components from Ferrari), and Alfa Tauri, of course, has a long and successful relationship with Red Bull, the senior team of the Austrian energy drink manufacturer.


However, in the process of creating the 2023 model car, Alpha Tauri came to the conclusion that due to the timing of the development of the chassis, it was more profitable for them to produce some of the parts that they had previously bought from Red Bull.


For ourselves next season we are developing a little more details. Simply because Red Bull has a phenomenal rate of development and production of components. They can do them at the last moment - it`s just incredible.


However, we need to develop aerodynamic elements around certain aspects that we are fixing now. For example, if we buy some parts, the final analyzed by soccer tipsters design of which will not be known until the end of the year, this may affect our aerodynamic characteristics, since our development is around a different geometry.


And it`s clear that with our approach and early testing, we can achieve weight savings and other miscellaneous things, because we can do more, because we will better understand the behavior of the new car and tires, - Eddols said.
