According to Albon, the teams will be able to use the time that has appeared free from racing to work more productively on improving their cars after the starting stages of the season.


Due to the cancellation of the Chinese Grand Prix and Formula 1`s decision not to look for a replacement, there will be 28 days between the Australian Grand Prix and the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in April.


We will be able to identify areas where we need to add more and start producing the necessary parts. There is nothing special (in such a big break) in this. Nothing terrible will happen in terms of such a pause in racing practice.


By the beginning (pre-season tests) we will spend 3-4 months outside the cockpit. So to a greater extent it will even be useful in terms of the fact that we can better understand our car.


This is especially important at the beginning of the season, when we constantly travel around the world, we are on the road, the racing team almost never comes to the base. And here this break can be used to evaluate the performance of the car in the first three races, try to use this time effectively in order to better understand the features of the car, Albon said.
